Located in King's Park, NY (on Long Island), the KPPC closed most of the facility in 1996.
I am not an "Urban Explorer" -- I do not enter any of these buildings; All shots that appear to be indoors were always taken through an already broken window, open door, or some other opening that allowed me to poke my camera lens through.
If you visit the grounds yourself be respectful of the law and understand that there are still patients who reside in three of the buildings. Part of the grounds have been converted to a state park, and you can freely walk around and see the sites there.
